Computers are fun, but there's lots of other fun in the world, too. Here are some fun art and craft ideas which are far away from your computer.
Make Stuff Do it yourself!
When your friends say, "You know you can buy one of those..." do you say, "Yeah, so?" If you love to make things, if you constantly have a project going in a back room, or cluttering up a kitchen counter, if you start making Christmas presents in June and you watch all those do-it-yourself shows on TV, come on in! We've got all kinds of recipes, formulas, craft projects and ideas that you can make yourself.
Design a Dinosaur Designs for easy-to-make paper dinosaurs that you can download from this site and print out on your printer. All that is needed is scissors and glue. Soon your office will be overrunning with raptors. How about triceratops with names on them as place settings at a kid's birthday party? Or a 30-minute crafts activity? To download a dinosaur, use whatever way works best for your particular browser, computer, and printer. Basically you either click on the print icon or click your cursor on top of the image and scroll to the "save this image" command, then you can print it out whenever you want.
Design a Dragon From the creator of Download-a-Dinosaur, here are designs for easy-to-make paper dragons and other mythopoeic fellows that you can download from this site and print out on your printer. All that is needed is scissors, tape, and glue. To download a dragon, use whatever way works best for your particular browser, computer, and printer. Basically you either click on the print icon if you have a printer hooked up, or click your cursor on top of the image and scroll to the "save this image" command, then you have saved your own copy to print out whenever you want.
Make-Your-Own-Tie Patterns Cooking and cleaning were essential skills adopted by the liberated male of the 70's. More than a decade later, it is harder than ever to prove ourselves as strong yet sensitive, self-assertive yet self-sufficient. But here is your big chance! Borrow your mother's old sewing machine and buy 3 feet of fabric that will distinguish you from your dreary peers, whose ties look like relics from a decade of Christmas sales past. Then follow these instructions, written by a guy who once threw away a shirt just because it was a button short.
